Mad Detective:

Inspector Ho (Andy On) has on his hands a dead case, a series of crimes linked to the gun of a missing cop. Desperate for answers, he turns to retired detective Bun (Lau Ching Wan) for help. Famous for his eccentric, but effective crime-solving methods, Bun was forced to leave the job years ago after he cut off his own ear and presented it as a gift to his boss. He seems to have gotten even madder with time, but Ho knows that only Bun can solve this case. Bun tells Ho that he can see through to one’s inner personalities, to the weaknesses and vices that lead people astray. In Bun’s eyes, these inner ghosts are living and breathing beings, revealed in their true form. Despite the protests of his wife (Kelly Lin), Bun agrees to take the case and his top suspect is the missing cop’s partner (Gordon Lam), a man with seven personalities, walking side by side.

Kung Fu Dunk:

Abandoned as an infant, Fang Shi Jie (Jay Chou) grew up in a martial arts school and has acquired himself some impressive fighting skills. Unwittingly pulled into Zhen’s hustling plans, Fang crosses the wrong people and gets kicked out of his martial arts school. Zhen then enrolls Fang into First University in hopes of turning him into a basketball star. After some quick training, Fang and team are tearing through the league to the championships, but some foes from Fang and Zhen’s past have money staked on the game, and they’re more than willing to play dirty to get their way.

The Warlords
The Warlords is set during the Taiping Rebellion when the Qing Dynasty was brought to its knees by a militant demagogue who attracted hundreds of thousands of disgruntled insurgents to his cause, thrusting the nation into chaotic infighting and warlordism. Emerging from a field of corpses, Qing General Pang (Jet Li) is the only member of his troop to survive a fatal battle with enemy forces. Wandering through the impoverished land, he encounters young outlaw Jiang (Takeshi Kaneshiro) and ends up joining a gang of bandits led by the brash and brazen Zhao (Andy Lau). Realizing that the only way to survive during such times is to join the fight, Pang, Zhao, and Jiang form their own army and offer their services to the Qing. Bounded by their blood oath, the sworn brothers lay down their lives for victory on the battlefield, but their brotherhood is tested by politics, personal ambition, and rivalry for the hand of Zhao’s wife (Xu Jinglei).

AppleSeed Appleseed Ex Machina

Based on the classic manga by Shirow Masamune, Ex Machina - Appleseed Saga (a.k.a. Appleseed: Ex Machina) is the sequel to the hit 2004 computer-animated film Appleseed. Taking place in the futuristic utopia of Olympus, Ex Machina features the continuing adventures of ES.W.A.T. member Deunan Knute and her partner/lover Briareos, a cyborg possessing a robot head instead of a human one. The two find their close partnership tested when they receive a new teammate, Tereus, a bioroid (an artificially-created humanoid) who was built based on Briareos DNA - meaning he has a human face and latent feelings for Deunan. But the arrival of an insidious, mind-controlling virus puts the love triangle on hold. Free will and individuality are being threatened in Olympus, and only Deunan and Briareos can set things right.

Personal review:
Sad story.. they both love each other, yet can’t be together because one is human, one is cyborg. Other than that, its a great action anime, specially in HD format!

Gran Turismo 5 Prologue

Gran Turismo 5 Prologue is the latest installment in the Gran Turismo series and a PlayStation 3 exclusive title which was announced at the E3 2007. This short version title is a precursor to Polyphony Digital’s planned Gran Turismo 5 and replaces Gran Turismo HD Concept. The “Prologue” suffix is a self-reference to Gran Turismo 4 Prologue which was released one year before the full version of Gran Turismo 4. Since March 28 2008, the game is now referred as Gran Turismo 5 Prologue Spec II which is the software’s version 2.0 title.
