Undoubtedly, Epik High reigned as the kings of hip-hop in 2007. Their fourth album Remapping The Human Soul snatched two of the year’s most prestigious awards: Best Hip-hop Group at the Korean Music Awards and Best Album of the Year at the Mnet KM Music Festival. Coming back from such a remarkable year wasn’t an easy task for the trio. However, to echo member Tablo’s recent remark, their fifth release Pieces was inspired by a dream - perhaps, a divine calling. Sounding very philosophical and introspective, their latest album talks about the shattering of one’s heart.
